Wenatchee Kendama Team was founded on July 1st, 2010. Since then, they have made countless videos including the first ever kendama film, "Count Me In!" and their second film, "Where We Are".

Some of us were introduced to kendama in 2008 from an article in ONE magazine. This article, written by Jeremy Stephenson, explained the great game of kendama and what it had to offer. After a month of two of playing, we started out by making short video edits. At the time, there were not many edit's that had multiple players in it, so we decided to form a Facebook group where people could follow us. Eventually it was decided that we should make a kendama film. Our cinematographer Matt Ballard filmed and edited what would be the first kendama film to date, "Count Me In!" From there things kept growing, and the next year in conjunction with KendamaUSA, we embarked on a journey of creating our second kendama film, "Where We Are". Since then, things only continue to grow. The Team is largely split up into different parts of the world now in Wenatchee, Seattle, Los Angeles, Denver, and Spain, but the group of friends remains strong and Wenatchee Kendama Team lives on.

We will continue to play kendama and strive to be examples for the kendama community. Kendama is a passion that cannot be forgotten. Play kendama for fun, and remember, that's what it's all about.
